FAQ
Is Clash Plus free?
Yes. Clash Plus is free, with no subscriptions or hidden fees.
What devices are supported?
Clash Plus supports iPhone, iPad, Android, HarmonyOS, Windows and macOS.
What proxy protocols are supported?
Shadowsocks, VMess, VLESS, Trojan, Hysteria2, TUIC, WireGuard, SOCKS5, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, Snell and AnyTLS are supported.
How do I add a proxy server or subscription?
Import a subscription URL in the app, or add proxy nodes manually. Subscriptions are usually provided by proxy service providers, while Clash Plus parses and manages the configuration locally.
What is the difference between system proxy and TUN mode?
System proxy works well for browsers and apps that respect system proxy settings. TUN mode uses a virtual network interface to cover more app traffic and is better for full routing control.
What are proxy groups and how do I use them?
Proxy groups organize multiple nodes and define how traffic is distributed. Supported strategies include Select for manual selection, Auto Select / URL Test for latency testing and choosing the lowest-latency node, Fallback for switching to the next available node when one fails, and Load Balance for spreading connections across all available nodes. Proxy groups can also be nested, such as placing several regional groups inside one main selector. The dashboard shows real-time latency data for each node.
How does rule-based routing work?
Rules are matched from top to bottom and decide whether each connection uses a proxy group, goes direct (DIRECT) or is blocked (REJECT). Supported rule types include DOMAIN / DOMAIN-SUFFIX / DOMAIN-KEYWORD for exact, suffix or keyword domain matching, IP-CIDR for IP ranges, GEOIP for countries or regions based on the built-in Geo database, PROCESS-NAME for specific apps, and MATCH as the final fallback. Clash Plus includes a default ruleset: domestic traffic goes direct, while overseas traffic uses a proxy. You can customize or replace it at any time. The Resources page can update the GeoIP and GeoSite databases with one click.
Can I set up automatic connection?
Yes. On-demand connection in Settings → Network supports three modes: Always On, which reconnects automatically when the device has network access; Wi-Fi Only, which enables the connection when Wi-Fi is connected; and Cellular Only, which enables it when mobile data is used. You can also control connect and disconnect with Siri Shortcuts, or long-press the home screen icon to use quick actions.
What is encrypted DNS, and why does it matter?
Traditional DNS queries are sent as plaintext UDP, so your ISP or other people on the same network may see or tamper with the domains you visit. Clash Plus includes a DNS module with DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH), DNS-over-TLS (DoT) and DNSSEC support. You can configure separate resolvers for domestic and overseas traffic, enable Fake-IP mode to prevent DNS leaks, and set custom fallback servers. All resolution is completed on your local device, so no third party receives your DNS history from Clash Plus.
How do I test node speed and latency?
On the dashboard, tap any proxy group to expand its node list, then tap Speed Test to ping all nodes at once. Results in milliseconds are shown next to each node in real time. Auto Select groups test latency automatically at the interval you set and route traffic to the fastest node. The Tools page can also run ICMP ping tests against any host.
How do I back up and restore configuration?
Go to Settings → Backup to create a local backup file that can be shared anywhere, or upload it directly to iCloud. iCloud backups are stored in your personal iCloud Drive and are accessible only to you. To restore, tap a backup record and choose Restore. Profiles, rules, proxy groups and settings are preserved. When moving to a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID to migrate everything in one step.
Does Clash Plus collect data?
No. Clash Plus does not collect network traffic, connection logs, subscription URLs, device identifiers, IP addresses or personal information.
Does Clash Plus provide proxy servers?
No. Clash Plus is a client app. It does not sell or provide proxy servers. You need to prepare your own nodes or subscription.
